Failed at my first dish

Hi everyone. I hope you liked my previous blogs where I showed you my perspective on how I got into cooking and made it my passion. In this blog, I’ll discuss with you the problems I faced during my cooking. I know everyone discusses the positive sides of one’s story as how great was the dish but the most important thing is the procedure it takes a few minutes to eat the dish but it takes a lifetime to prepare and my first one was literally a lifetime. Kebabs seem to look pretty simple just by looking but it takes a lot of effort to make one and especially when you are trying them for the first time. For the first time, the filling was not proper due to which kebabs burst open when I was trying to roll them. I got so confused and worried as to how I made a perfect dish when I can’t even roll them properly but I tried again and I was able to roll this time but in an oval shape and the same thing happened again but not so bad this time which was an achievement eh. This was happening...

My first Dish

Hey, guyzz............Hi again In my last post, I told you guys about the first dish that I tried to make for my family to fill that void with both happiness and delicious food. I tried my hands on a very popular and delicious Awadhi dish that was Shammi kabab made from minced meat but I made the vegetarian version of these kababs from lentils, soya granules, onions, spices, and herbs. They are crisp on the outside and soft and succulent on the inside. they are so delicious, just melt in the mouth like the traditional version. they are quite filling as it has proteins from the lentils as well as from soya granules or chunks which makes them best for breakfast or brunch also or as an evening snack. they also make excellent party snacks or a starter. they team up well with bread in a sandwich, with a bun in a burger, with a slice of pita bread, or with our traditional parathas stuffed in a roll. you guys must be wondering as my first trial at cooking why would I choose a such compli...

My First Cooking Experience

Hi, guys............ Hope you all liked my last blog post. Here I am again with another post hope u like this one too. As I told u guys in my last blog, as a child I used to help my mom and my aunts in the kitchen, actually from outside the kitchen as we all have seen that invisible ' stop' sign put there by our moms. I was not allowed to enter the kitchen but I don't blame her coz it was for my safety. I was just left outside in awe, so they used to give us other stuff to do like getting the veggies from the refrigerator, washing them off, and peeling the potatoes. Who would have known a few years back that I would ever gain an interest in cooking and even think of it as my profession? So you all have read my previous blog(if you have not read it yet please read it, the link is pinned below) where I mentioned how I have fallen in love with cooking and my first cooking experience. Talking about my first cooking experience I have thought of cooking something way too out of ...

Welcome Blog

Welcome, Guyzz..............  Hi! I am Saumya, an enthusiastic person who loves cooking, and traveling, and a fashionista too. Thanks for being here. I would like to share with you my very first blog post. I am pretty elated and thrilled to share my first blog and more excited that you are going to read about me and my passion. I have always wanted to start a blog about food since I get very elevated when it comes to food. Before I tell you more about this, I would like to discuss with you, how I got so excited about food and started my café. I hope you are excited about it too. I was born in a small town near Kanpur and brought up in Noida in a joint family. You read that right even in today’s scenario in a joint family eh? It has its perks and limitations. Well, I will talk about that later. Let’s focus on the café story for now. We all used to visit our townhouse during our vacations. But apart from the fun, we used to have at our townhouse we all used to crave the delicious foo...
